Features

One of the main features of Buddha Smriti Park is the large statue of Lord Buddha that sits at the center of the park. The statue, which stands 40 feet tall, is made of Ashtadhatu (a combination of eight metals) and is a replica of the statue of Lord Buddha at Kamakura in Japan. Another notable feature of the park is the “Ashoka Pillar” which is a replica of the original pillar located in Vaishali, Bihar, India which was built by Emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BC. The pillar bears the inscriptions of Ashokan edicts, which include the first written records of Buddhism.

The Park also has “Buddha Vihar” which is a meditation center inside the park, where people can come and meditate, and also has a beautiful library that has books on Buddhism and Lord Buddha.
